This campaign is about balance. It’s about common sense and it’s about results. I am not running for a title—I am running to serve. I believe Orange County can do better. I believe in leadership that puts people first-not politics. I am building a campaign focused on public safety, affordability, and accountability. I wholeheartedly dedicated my life to public service.
My record is rich and diverse:
For 22 years at Orange County Department of Child Support Services and Orange County Superior Court, I helped Orange County families secure financial stability.
As Sergeant in the U.S. Army, I served our country proudly. I learned that leadership requires discipline, integrity, and a commitment to a cause greater than oneself.
As Santa Ana Councilmember, I fought for safer streets, balanced budgets, and improved quality of life.
As a Trustee of the Rancho Santiago Community College District, I championed access to higher education.
As a Career Technical Education teacher at Santa Ana Unified School District, I prepared students for better-paying and professional jobs.
As a Trustee for Orange County Mosquito & Vector Control Board, I prioritized public health and scientific transparency.
My priorities are clear:
Public Safety: Ensuring our neighborhoods and businesses are safe and protected.
Affordability: Ensuring essential goods and services such as housing, healthcare and food become more affordable.
Fiscal Accountability: Demanding transparency and ethical management of your tax dollars, avoiding waste.
I offer qualified and experienced leadership tempered by military service and proven through decades of honest public service. I am the mother of three professional young adults. Like you, I want our children to have a future in Orange County that is safe, affordable, and prosperous.
Your vote for me ensures such a future.I have spent my life serving this community—and I know how to turn plans into action. I hope to have your vote on June 2nd.
Sincerely,
Nelida Mendoza
